Here i am! HAUL + A CHEAP/FREE NATURAL WAY TO SAY GOODBYE SPLIT ENDS

Hellooooo everybody <3

I've decided to make another post cause' i havent made one in quite a while and felt like im negelecting the blog.
I'm trying not too, ive just had trouble deciding what to post next because i have a lot to show & tell ;D
What i have today, is a few posts in a day, sorry if you feel like i am spamming your following list.
I'm very bad at organising myself. so 2 or 3 posts today on my blog

however, in this post, im gonna share with you the goodies i have brought in the last week.

i was trailing around work on saturday and i decided to pick up a hair, nails, skin suppliment. as im runing out of hair care nutrients by life plan
seeing as it was on half price and i get a staff discount too. so bargain.
cant say where i work for obvious reasons because i dont want to promote it.
but if you look closely in the picture you'll see where i got them from.
The pills are the long kind that i hate, and the smell and taste of them are very sugary, and leaves a taste in your mouth that u may not be able to bare, i nearly threw up at work after taking them. washing it down with 'skinny cola' didnt exactly help either lol.
but hey ho! it's my hair so im taking these for as long as i can suffice.
i also brought on the far right, 'japanese magical eyebrow set' from ebay uk which came with free eyelashes. and 5 eyebrow stencils, all which i found to be way too 'thin' for me too use, and i came to the conculsion that my eyebrows suit me the way they are. so yeah :') im still contemplating using them and im going to wear the lashes out sometime.
i also brought clear complexion tablets for my KP i dont have acne so im wondering if it will help at all.
i got these on clearance from my local 24 hour supermarket.
lets see if they work i'll keep u updated ;D

I also got dr organics tea tree oil facial wash, which is about £6.10 i think but i got staff discount so it cost me less. so far it seems to be drying my spots and shrinking them but that could be the effect of either one of the items im using, although the facial wash hasnt broken me out or anything bad and lathers really well so spot on!

I now want to show you a neat treatment i have been using on and off for the past few months.
the natural or free recipe for your hair,
and the main ingredient you ask???

DRUM ROLLLLLL

COCOCOCOCONUT OIIILLLL
You can probably find it in your kitchen if you use it for cooking,
IF not you can do what i did and stumble across a spice shop and buy one.
Set me back £2.49 which is hardly breaking the bank and for 500mls you are getting more value for your money than buying a cheap crappy 'deep treatment' from the shops which has CEMENT in it. (yes actual cement) although they will give it a more appealing name in the ingredients list
Yes girls coconut oil, you've probably heard of using it before on hair,
but to get a really good result dont buy the clear kind.
always buy the white kind which hasnt been fractionated or processed to make it clear.
Coconut oil is brilliant for all types of things, for your skin, your hair your bones, your bodily functions, your health, for food and even helps ibs sufferers.

So how what does it look like and why does it help?

So, this coconut oil is white and is hard in a pot.
The best kind to get is coconut oil that slowly melts on body heat.
So if i take some of this out, and place into my hands the heat from my hands will slowly melt the oil.
not dramatically, but easy enough to spread.
on contact coconut oil will melt and spread on your skin and hair clearly if its already melted before you place it on .

it helps by moisturizing with its high protein and fatty acid content
and how to make this lovely coconut oil into an oil is as follows.

Take a Table spoon or desert spoon and scoop out 1, 2, or 3 spoonfulls and place into a bowl or glass pitcher

once you have done that, you can decide weither to add another emolient, such as organic shea butter or mango butter (if you have it) to make it extra special.

for myself i leave it with just coconut oil

Now add a chosen oil to the mix, such as Extra Virgin olive oil,  Organic Avacado oil  I have used extra virgin olive oil (or if your feeling experimental soy sauce, which has high amino acid content but smells lol). ive measured the ammount to put in with a cap. although you can put it in straight from the bottle.

now all you need to do is, mix the contents together in your bowl or pitcher, (dont worry it doesnt have to be melted to be mixed) just make sure, you mix it and then you can decide weither you want to use straight from the bowl or to melt it using a cap full or shot glass of boiling water (depending on how much oil you've used).
I chose to use my fingers to melt the mixture, and then apply to my hair
that way you know that you are not losing any of the nutrients or fatty chain of acid.
and will result in smoothe silky hair.

This of course is an easy tutorial, but some people can make the mistake of using coconut oil on dry hair which is not good as it will cause build up if used too much, unless your hair is super damaged and you are expecting to wash it soon i dont recomend.  Only put this on towel dried, semi wet (from hot water) hair, as hot water opens the cuticles, so by letting the coconut oil in you are getting more of a better result.
leave on for as long as you like, i recomend 30 minutes but if your struck for time or only using a little ammount try just 10 minutes with your hair wrapped under a towel and using a hairdryer to warm the folicles.

also dont forget to store your coconut oil in a Dark dry place, such as a kitchen  dont use the bathroom, your coconut oil will go stale quick like my old batch OOPS ;D

FORGET ARGAN OIL AND OTHER BAND WAGONS (AND THE COMPANIES THAT GO ALONG WITH IT TO RIP YOU OFF), GO FOR SOMETHING CHEAP NATURAL AND HAS BEEN USED FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS ON SKIN AND HAIR!

please dont use this if your alergic to coconut oil although rare, just like anything. do a test on your wrist or back of neck, if you have had reactions previously to coconut.

Hope this works for you & please give it a try if your hair is in desperate need for a deep treatment.

my hair grew last year after i used coconut oil on my hair and no heated tools for 6 days, it grew dramatically couldnt believe it really, but its stiffening my belief in that it does do what its supposed to do.

i brought this new batch so im using it after every hair wash :)

lots of love may continue today with an extra post, i dont want to annoy anybody tho
xxx

  1. Haha- don't worry about multiple posts, dear: lots of bloggers do that: especially if they've not posted in a while. (I'm guilty of doing it every so often. >.> ) You have a lot of content in your posts, too, so it's definitely worthwhile.

And yayyy! I use almost the exact same things as you: coconut oil and EVOO! :D And usually, I leave 'em on overnight- shower cap + towel on my head to keep it nice n' warm. 8)

I've been meaning to get some Shea butter, but I'm a dunce and haven't found anywhere nearby selling it yet. D: I guess online vendors'll have it, eh?

  3. Organic-- gotcha'~. And gracias! Hm, eBay. Haha- why did I not think of that. xD I may as well stock up on my other skin-care essentials, then, and do a little haul of some sort.

Oh, and I believe you'd asked what I use for moisturizing a bit ago. Initially, I'd stick with Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing lotion: that would usually be during winter, when I'd be scratching like crazy, my skin'd get so dry. I'd usually alternate that with whichever brand's cocoa butter body lotion, and that suited me just fine.

After a year of everyday moisturizing, my skin started liking me again, so I stopped buying the Aveeno: the texture was always a bit too 'heavy' for me anyway, as well as it worked. Now I alternate between Suave's Cocoa Butter with Shea Body lotion, and one of my all-time faves, Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Body Lotion. (Yes, yes: I have a mild obsession with coconut smells: what can I say? I'm Jamaican, after all. ;P )

  4. not a problem :D you should defo do a haul, and post!
for some reason i really like seeing what other people buy :o rofl.

yesss! ive heard a lot about aveeno but ive never tried it, im gonna take that as a heads up and buy some! & cocoa butter gosh doesnt it smell amazing? i havent had any for a while think its time i buy some body lotions tbh.

wow, i wouldnt be able to moisturise everyday i dont usually remember or i forget, or i just rush to work after a shower, sometimes i just put almond oil in my bath and soak in it, it acts as a moisturizer but it leaves a waxy film on your skin unless you rub it in :D

since you live in the states do you own any bath & body works stuff? ive heard they have some nice stuff and the in to the wild looks amazing, sucks that im from england :') you guys have the best stuff.

& dont worry i freaking love coconut smells too, it just smells 'right' haha :) coconut over every other scent except vanilla perhaps :D
